Christ Alive Christian Center, founded by Pastor

Dean & Debrah Brown, held its first service on

Sunday, April 4th, 1993. The service was held

in the basement of the home of Gladstone and

Myrna Brown (the parents of Pastor Dean

Brown), located at 2116 Strang Avenue, we

   had 53 in attendance.

At first, we only had services on Sunday

mornings and Wednesday evenings. As children

became a part of the church, we started our

Children’s Ministry in the form of a Sunday

school. Not long after, we started our DUNAMIS

   Youth Ministry.

In August of 1994 the church relocated to 3906 Seton Avenue with a membership

of approximately 45 people.  There we expanded our Children’s Ministry by adding a

bi-weekly KIDS Church on Saturdays, and holding Youth Services on a weekly basis.

On Mother’s Day 1996, we held our 1st service at our present location with

approximately 125 people.  Since then we have grown significantly.  Our Children’s

Ministry now held on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings has seen

significant growth as well.  The Children’s Ministry now includes a growing nursery

as well as KINDER and KIDS Church. In addition, we have seen the Youth Ministry

develop and grow to the point where we now have Pre-teens and Teens meeting

   separately.

In April of 2002 Christ Alive Christian Centre in Kingston, Jamaica was started. This

is a fulfillment of the vision the God has placed in the heart of Pastor Dean. Also in

Jamaica, we have an outreach ministry to the poor and homeless, Christ Alive

Missions (originally Golden Age Christian Fellowship Mission Ministries). Other

Churches have also been planted or adopted into the Christ Alive family, Lighthouse

Christian Center (Long Island City, NY) and Living Word Church (Morris Park section

   of the Bronx).

We are excited about the future of CACC. We have grown and will continue to grow

and fulfill the vision that God has given. We can truly say, as we look back on the

   past, that:

GOD HAS BLESSED US AND MADE US A BLESSING
